The brief

A school floor takes the daily load of hundreds of children. Two requirements were therefore critical: the surface had to be perfectly level, and durable enough not to degrade over years of use.

What we did

The work ran in two stages: screeding with modern machinery, then finishing the surface. Working by machine let us cover a large area in a single cycle and removed the unevenness that hand-laid work tends to leave behind.
